Experience with Moby Wrap or Ergo Baby Carrier?
I’m looking into both of these for my baby that is being born in December. I was wondering if anyone had experience with them? I was in a store today and tried on both. The Moby wrap was easy to learn how to wrap and looks great for newborns. The Ergo Baby Carrier also was comfortable. I really like the idea of “wearing” your baby and many mothers I know say their baby loves it. Anyone have experience with either and would like to share?
My husband also has no problems wearing the Moby wrap.

I have the Moby and have been using it successfully with my 3-month old daughter. I walk around the house with her almost all day long and it’s perfect to rock her to sleep without my arms getting tired. It’s ultra comfy and easy to use once you get the hang of it but the only cons are that it gets pretty hot after wearing it with baby for a while because of all the fabric. It also gets tedious to put on every time you want to use it and since there is so much fabric it’s not very practical to carry around or put on outside the house (the fabric will drag all over the ground and get dirty!).
Because of these reasons, i JUST purchased the Ergo and it arrived today! It’s super comfortable BUT unfortunately I think my baby is too small for it right now. She’s about 12 1/2 pounds. Her legs can’t spread out around me enough for her to be comfortable in the Ergo. I know they have an infant insert but its like $25 and not worth it for me since my baby has good head control already. So far I love it and can tell it will be very comfortable to use and much simpler to put on and carry around in public than the moby.
I don’t see anything wrong with having both the moby AND the ergo? The moby is definitely better for a newborn, hands down! and since it’s only $35-40 i think it’s worth it to have for the first few months of your baby’s life, especially b/c that’s when you’ll probably be wanting to “wear” her the most!!!
