How do i convince my parents to get me a treadmill?

treadmill
grace asked:

i’m “plus sized” and i’ve really been trying to change that and i think getting a treadmill would really help me along, but my parents think that its “unreasonable”. so how do i convince them to get one?
they think i should just run outside, but it rains and snows alot where i live and there aren’t many side walks

and yes i’m on an eating diet too

thanks
i found one for about $ 200 dollars, i don’t need some big heart monitoring thing, just as long as it moves

  1. I had to convince my mom to get one too.
I just told her I promised to use it (which I do) and she could use it too whenever she wanted. it would help our entire family. I looked up a lot of different ones with low prices and showed her I did my research. We ended up getting a pretty cheap one from Sears with a warranty. Good luckkk~

  2. Why can’t you just go running outside and save your parents $1000?

  3. That is unreasonable…. I mean, money doesn’t just grow on trees. You can either check out some of the free websites around your area, which is people wanted to just give stuff away instead of sending it to the dump…. You may find some luck there….

But, you could also go for walks around the neighborhood. Or, if you’re not too far from school, walk home. We lived about 5 miles from our high school and I walked home each afternoon – a brisk walk. It was great exercise and it really toned my legs from doing that, ballet and marching band. I may have been a band geek my freshman year, but after I lost my “chubby weight” I was being pursued by most of the guys in school….

A lot can change over a year – or even a summer. Find another way to loose the weight. Join the library and you could check out a work out DVD to do at home each week. Find ones you like and keep getting them. Just be sure to return them on time – then its completely free.

    Get creative!

  4. could you babysit or something and pay for part of it yourself? Maybe it could be part of your birthday present or something like that.
